- Loukas Sideras
Lucas Sideras was born in Athens 5-12-1944. He started playing drums at the age of 13 .
At the age of 15, he started playing drums with several bands in Athens and later on he meets VANGELIS (Papathanasiou) and Demis Roussos. They form the APHRODITE’S CHILD group.
In 1967 they sign with MERCURY-RECORDS in FRANCE and they release three albums: "END OF THE WORLD" (which includes the song RAIN AND TEARS), "IT’S FIVE O’CLOCK" and "666", which sold 20 million copies world wide.
In 1972 Lucas begins to compose his own music and releases his first solo album "ONE DAY" with POLYDOR- FRANCE, sold 28.000 copies.
In 1974 another solo album "PAX SPRA"Y with RCA-ITALY follows that sold 45.000 copies.
In 1975 he produces the album "ALBA" for RICARDO COCCANTE with RCA which hits #1 in Italy’s charts.
In 1977 he forms the group YPSILON with LAKIS VLAVIANOS and DIMITRIS KATAKOUZINOS, they release the album "MORNING SUNRISE" with PHILIPS-FRANCE, it sold 75.000 copies.
In 1979 he produces the album "LOVE’S FOOL" for SIGMA FAY with POLYGRAM-INTERNATIONAL, sold 75.000 copies.
In 1981 he produces the album "DEAD LINE" for SIGMA FAY with POLYGRAM-INTERNATIONAL, which sold 52.000 copies.
In 1984 he produces the single "YOU’RE THE DRUG IN MY LIFE" for SIGMA FAY with ARIOLA, sold 34.000 copies.
In 1984 "ALIEN CHILD" with ARIOLA, hitting 60.000 copies.
In 1987 a Rock-Blues band named DIESEL is formed by LUCAS SIDERAS - SIGMA FAY - YANIS DROLAPAS.Ten years follow, full of live performances and jamming sessions. In 1995, the group releases the album "DIESEL" for MBI-GREECE.At the same time Lucas was composing music for several documentaries and advertisements in his studio.
In 2005 LOS-TRES a rock - blues band formed by:LUCAS SIDERAS drums - SIMOS KOKAVESIS guitar, vocals - BARY ZEALY bass, vocals. Today they appear in live performances, jamming sessions and recordings.
in 2008 Lucas releases, after a long time, a solo album "STAY WITH ME" composed arranged and produced by him in his studio. The music has a world feeling, revealing Lucas' influences all those years.
