Great Needle Peak ( _bg. "Голям Иглен връх", ‘Golyam Iglen Vrah’ go-'lyam 'i-glen 'vr&h; variant name in _es. pico Falsa Aguja, ‘False Needle Peak’) is the summit of the central Levski Ridge in Tangra Mountains on Livingston Island, Antarctica. Rising to ca. 1690 m, it is the second highest peak of Tangra Mountains after Mount Friesland (1700 m sharp). Great Needle Peak surmounts Devnya Valley and Huron Glacier to the north, Macy Glacier to the southwest, Srebarna Glacier to the south, and Magura Glacier to the east.

The name form ‘Great Needle’ has become established in usage, with ‘great’ considered more suitable than the adjective ‘false’ in its Spanish name form ‘pico Falsa Aguja’ as this heavily glaciated, major peak is hardly associated with the ‘true’ Needle Peak ("pico Aguja"), a sharp black peak of elevation just 370 m situated near Samuel Point 8 km away.

Location

The peak is located 7 km east of Mount Friesland, 3.4 km east by south of Levski Peak, 2.1 km south of Tutrakan Peak, 2.2 km southwest of Helmet Peak, and 3.3 km northwest from M’Kean Point.
