Great Needle Peak surmountsDevnya Valley andHuron Glacier to the north,Macy Glacier to the southwest,Srebarna Glacier to the south, andMagura Glacier to the east.The name form ‘Great Needle’ has become established in usage, with ‘great’ considered more suitable than the adjective ‘false’ in its Spanish name form ‘pico Falsa Aguja’ as this heavily glaciated, major peak is hardly associated with the ‘true’ Needle Peak ("pico Aguja"), a sharp black peak of elevation just 370 m situated near
