Sociedade de Desenvolvimento Mineiro

Sociedade de Desenvolvimento Mineiro (SDM) is a mining company that is owned 50% by Endiama (Angola) and 50% by Odebrecht (Brazil). It is located at east of Luanda, in the region of Cuango. SDM mines high quality diamonds for the jewelry industry. The project had a US$ 83,726,933 profit in 2001 [http://padoca.org] and has approximately 2000 employees. Its president is Telirio Pinto Jr.
