The Man
Chris Howard is the well-known lighting designer and theater manager at the Pittsburgh CAPA High School. He is well known for his work on the productions such as Ragtime, Parade, Aida, The Secret Garden, and most recently Children of Eden. He has been a professional lighting designer for over 15 years. He began his theatrical journey while attending Indiana University of Pittsburgh. As a freshman he was a history major, however he developed a quick interest in theater and the technical aspects that follow; thus causing his switch into technical theater with a focus on lighting design. Most of his work is at the Pittsburgh CAPA High School although he also has extensive work with professional companies.
Works
By the time he graduated with a degree in theater design, he has quite a few shows under his belt. Now over 15 years later there are more than 100 professional shows for which he has been the lighting designer. Howard most commonly designs for theatrical performances (Musicals and Plays), however he often is the lighting designer for dance performances as well as orchestra performances.
