Abdelsalam Khalil Eljaroshi (Pron-en|æbdɪlsɑːlæm kɑːliːl ɛldʒɑruːʃiː) (Arabic: عبدالسلام خليل الجروشي ) (also known as Abdeljar, and G. W. Stewart (George William Stewart)) (born Feb 11 1986) in Benghazi, is a Libyan engineer, writer, and philanthropist, specializing in Information Technology Management, Information Systems, and Project Management, he is also an innovative author with proposals and initiatives in the fields of his specialization, and talent.

Background

A highly motivated youngster, talented and imaginative, with the mind of a creative artistic writer, he started at a young age, starting to read a news paper at the age of 6, following with a collection of articles in 1996, he wrote his first official poem in Arabic in 1999, publishing it in Elmgarief School Newsletter, where he used to attend preparatory school, in the next 2 years he became the editor of this newsletter. His academic performance was pacing with his writing talent, launching and running 2 newsletters in his high school, and coming up with the idea of Computer Science Day, amongst the Cultural Week in the Libyan Education System.

His visit to Canada

In the first rising of his talent, and at the age of 12, his father who is a will established electrical engineer was sent by AGOCO on an education scholarship to the Memorial University of Newfoundland in St.John's, Newfoundland, Canada, where Abdel was schooled in English for a full school year, and this visit influenced the way he looks at things, having so much to do with his actions and behavior, and giving him a self gained native speaker English fluency.

Education

Early stages of education

His earlier stages of education were completed in his home town of Benghazi, with an exception of a school year in MacDonald Drive Elementary School in St.John's NFL Canada in 1996 - 1997.

Educational struggle

After completing high school, he applied and was accepted at the University Of Garyounis's college of Dentistry, but he didn't do great, he was struggling with low grades, he left it and transferred to Engineering, then to Economics.

Reaching his goals of success

Throughout his struggle, Eljaroshi managed to apply to a distance learning institution in order to gain a bachelor degree in Information Technology Management and Information Systems Design and Engineering, after that he was awarded an assigned postgraduate diploma in Project Management, utilizing the MIT OCW courses, and applying for a local exam with a Libyan institution.

Extended education

Eljaroshi continued to receive concentrated courses in his profession, establishing Microsoft's ASP and ASP.NET, SEO specialist, software and application design and management, web design, and computer network design and security. As for project management software he established Primavera P3 and P6 as part of the project management postgraduate diploma.

Achievements

Libyan Project Management Association (LYPMA)

(Arabic: الجمعية الليبية لإدارة المشاريع ) In January 2008 Eljaroshi co-founded LYPMA with fellow engineer Fathi Alkharaz, and well known Libyan engineer, and project management consultant, the association is initially declared in Benghazi, and will start its actual activities schedule in January 2009.

Libyan Distance and Electronic Learning Association (LYDLA)

(Arabic: الجمعية الليبية للتعليم الإلكتروني والتعليم عن بعد) Declared as a partnership with a Libyan human resource development center, LYDLA is the first distance and/or electronic learning society in Libya.

eGov Libya Project

A project launched and managed by Eljaroshi, this revolutionary project was initially proposed as a study by its recent manager in February 2006. The project is undergoing development, and is tracked via an initial blog.

The Conceptualization of the Electronic University in Libya

Not yet published, this study is a definition of the mechanism, and operational theory of how education can be provided via electronic tools in Libyan universities, this is no differentiation from electronic learning and distance learning concepts, it is only an actual field study of the design and implementation of an actual electronic education system in Libya's major higher education institutions.

The rise of writer

Eljaroshi is a writer who " an artist who manipulates and holds his literary tools to play with the souls of readers!" as Libyan media icon Afaf Abdelmohsen described him.

He began writing at a very young age, publishing his first official poem in Arabic in 1999, his development and growth came from the commitment he has for this talent, establishing the influences of the likes of G. B. Shaw, Mark Twain, Jules Verne, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and the modern literature icons of the Arab world such as Nizar Qabbani, Ahmad Shawqi, and Sadeq Naihoum. His greatest influence, considering him a mentor is Qabbani.

There are no official hard copy publications by Eljaroshi, although he always shows up to promise his works are soon to be published. On the other hand he is known for some of his works that appear now and then on the Libyan Writers Club, and other Libyan electronic newspapers.

He is not registered as a member of any writers syndicate, union, or association.
