- Music Box Sacramento
"Music Box Sacramento" is an upcoming American public access television music showcase series created by Dennis Post and hosted by his popular public access Sacramento radio persona of "The Postman". The series premiere is scheduled for Friday, October 17, 2008. The series is set to air online via accesssacramento.org for 13 hour-long episodes during the 2008-2009 season.
Development----"The Postman" hosted a popular public access radio show (which was also streamed on the internet as well as broadcast via local cable and radio) from Fall 1999 to December 2002 (repeats of old episodes continued to air during the six years after the final original episode premiered) called "The Wall of Sound" (after the colossal 1970s sound system of The Grateful Dead). In Summer of 2008, "The Postman" pitched the concept of two new TV shows, "Music Box Sacramento" and "Fangasm!". Several bands were considered for the premiere, but ultimately, the first scheduled taping for Tuesday September 23, 2008 was cancelled. The premiere episode is now set to feature the Sacramento band Be Brave Bold Robot and premiere on October 17, 2008. Additional new episodes will follow about every other Friday thereafter.
