The Mercedes-Benz Zetros is an off-road truck for extreme operations. It was first presented at the Eurosatory (defence industry trade show) 2008 in Paris. The Zetros is manufactured at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth, Germany.[1] The truck is designed to be compatible with the Hercules C-130 transport and also fits into a standard German railway carriage. [2]
The Bulgarian army has ordered the Zetros as of 2009. [3]
Variants
The Zetros is only available with a 326 horsepower (243 kW) engine and all-wheel drive:
- Zetros 1833 (4x4) - 4,000 to 6,000kg payload
- Zetros 2733 (6x6) - 7,000 to 10,000kg payload
