Anne-Marie Brennan is a fictional character in the Irish soap opera "Fair City". The character is portrayed by Bernadette McKenna. Anne-Marie is the mother of long standing character Paul Brennan and arrived on August 27 2008. She suffers from bipolar disorder.

Anne-Marie is the mother of Paul Brennan. She arrived in 2008 when Paul was in hospital after suffering a heart attack. Anne-Marie took an instant dislike to Paul's current wife, Niamh Cassidy. Paul found her presence suffocating and she soon left. On September 30, following Paul's return from a rest in Cork, Anne-Marie turned up on Paul's doorstep and announced she was going to stay with him to help him get better.

Paul resented having his mother around and when she took Rachel away and didnt return with her until late that night, he made her leave. The next day, Paul discovered that his mother never returned home. He told Niamh about her mental condition which resulted in a struggling childhood for him and his brother. Eventually, Anne-Marie showed up at Paul's and Paul talked about the past with her.
