John Beauchamp (1592 - 1655) was one of the influential members of the Plymouth Company. [Filson Club Quarterly, 28:2, April 1954, "Beauchamp Family," by Stith Thompson]
John Beauchamp was the son of Thomas Beauchamp of Cosgrove and Dorothy (Clark) Beauchamp. He was born about 1592 in England. On December 27, 1615 he married Alice Freeman. They had seven children. He died at Reigate in about 1655.
Among his descendants are two murderers Jereboam O. Beauchamp and Noah Beauchamp and one presidential candidate, James "Champ" Clark.
