Indie Rock band with varied influences based inOrlando ,Florida ,USA .Singer and guitarist Jesse Willard met multi-instrumentalist Isaac Pineda and immediately shared a mutual love for music. After discovering bassist Merrick Beatty and having no luck finding drummers in the surrounding area, Pineda decided to switch to drums from guitar/keyboards and the group began to refine their style. Most recently, they have placed an emphasis on sound density by using a multitude of
effect pedals , loops, and employing a strong sense of dynamics. This reached a new height when guitarist/keyboardist Shane Bellotti was soon added to complete the lineup. The band is currently rehearsing/writing/recording their debut "Lift me up on angels wings".
Influences
The band is hard to pin down as far as musical genres, but they seem to lean towards the dense-yet-melodic
dream pop ofMy Bloody Valentine andSlowdive , the off-beat and calculated noise ofSlint andSonic Youth , and thepsychedelic infusedart-rock of a youngerSmashing Pumpkins among others. Their catalog of songs include sudden shifts of timing, key, and their structures, while typically unconventional, retain a keen sense of pop songwriting. The influence ofretro-futurism in literature, pop culture, and movies is also subtly hinted at through Willard's lyrics.Discography
