Wet Let

Wet Let is a small town from the middle of Myanmar.

Location

It is located in Sagaing Division of Myanmar. There are two rivers-- Irrawaddy, the life blood of Myanmar, to the east side of Wet Let township and Muu to the west side. Sagaing township in which there is Mingon Bell exists to the south side and Shwe Bo township, the first City of third dynasty of Myanmar, to the north.

History

Wet Let emerged round about AD 1900 when the Myanmar railways started. Before Wet Let, there is no even a village. By the time the trains ran through the place, the government dug a well to refill water into the steam engine. Later, it is a station of Wet Let beginning a very small market. From a station, now a day, Wet Let is a township which consists of over 70 villages.
