Art of Peace Charitable Trust

The Trust unites communities, art and media on a global scale to promote active peacemaking by ceremoniously gathering and then melting weapons such as hand guns, cluster bombs, land mines, and particularly decommissioned missile casings. A unique and proprietary process is then applied to cast the molten metals into epic monuments called Peace Angels. Thirteen sculptures will stand thirty feet tall and are custom designed for each location reflecting the areas cultures and people that are indigenous to those lands. The sites for placement are chosen for historic reasons that will make a difference in transitional areas of conflict and must be culturally sensitive and appropriate to the present time and place.
