Empire of the Sun are an electronic music duo formed by Luke Steele of The Sleepy Jackson and Nick Littlemore of Pnau [http://www.nme.com/news/the-sleepy-jackson/39958] . The duo’s name, Empire of the Sun, comes from a 1984 novel by J. G. Ballard. [http://theinspirationroom.com/daily/2008/empire-of-the-sun-walking-on-a-dream/] So far they have released their first single titled "Walking on a Dream" which has already garnered a following of fans due to the song being released via the internet on their website and myspace. The videoclip for the song was filmed in Shanghai, China and was directed by Josh Logue. They have released a second single entitled "We Are the People", which was an exclusive iTunes pre-release single.Their debut album was released in Australia on October 4th 2008, with released six tracks from their album online through their MySpace page in the week prior to the album's release.
