Gull River (Balsam Lake)

Gull River (Balsam Lake)

Gull River is a river in the Kawartha lakes region of Ontario, Canada. It flows through the town of Minden, Ontario, passes through Gull Lake and empties into Balsam Lake on the Trent-Severn Waterway. A white water course has been constructed on the river at Minden. During the 19th and early 20th century, the river was used to transport logs to sawmills downstream. The Gull River is a popular, dam-regulated, playboating area with a number of artificial features.
