Sony XBR8

The Sony XBR8 series of TV's were released into the US marketplace starting in September of 2008. There are currently two models in the XBR8 line; the 46" (KDL-46XBR8) [1] was released on September 29, 2008. The second model, the 55" (KDL-55XBR8) [2] became available for order in October.Both TV's have TRILUMINOS® RGB LED Backlight displays. This was initially only available on the 70" XBR3 (KDL-70XBR3) [3] model that went for $32,999.99. The XBR8 line was also upgraded with the new BRAVIA Engine™ 2 PRO.
