New York State Theater , Lincoln Center, with "mise en scèn" byRouben Ter-Arutunian and lighting byRonald Bates . The costumes by Karinska were the last she designed for City Ballat;Robert Irving conducted. "Vienna Waltzes" was seen in preview at City Ballet's gala, June 15th at which timeJean-Pierre Bonnefous danced the role later assumed by Jorge Donn.Original cast
