Skala (sports organization)
- Skala (sports organization)
Skala ('Rock') was a Jewish Communist sports organization in interbellum Poland. Its members were largely from the Jewish Section of the Communist Party. [Brenner, Michael, and Gideon Reuveni. "Emancipation Through Muscles: Jews and Sports in Europe". Lincoln: University of Nebraska Press, 2006. p. 94, 99] Skala had initially appealed to Jewish workers across party lines, but just after a few weeks the Poale Zion Left followers split away.
