redspotgames is a videogame publisher, distributor and promoter from Munich, Germany.

History

redspotgames was established in 2005 and rose out of the independent scene of the Sega Dreamcast. The same year they had their first public apperance at the largest European videogame exhibition, the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany.

Their first released game was Last Hope for Dreamcast, which is a port of the Neo Geo AES Shoot 'em up by NG:DEV.TEAM by the same name. It was released worldwide on January 31st 2007. Until today it is the best sold indie title on the Dreamcast. While the regular edition came on the market on a CD-ROM with fullcolor manual and a spinecard, the Limited Edition additionally offered a double jewel case packaging, a O.S.T. booklet, a remastered soundtrack CD in vinyl look and a handwritten numeration on the spinecard. Only 500 pieces were produced and already sold out 5 days after the preorder started. Currently this version reaches up to US$350 at online auction websites.
