Jomo Gamal Thomas (JG Thomas) is a New York business man and attorney.

Early Life

----Jomo Thomas was born in the Bronx, New York on January 31, 1974. He grew up in Roosevelt and Uniondale, New York. During his teenage years, he was very active as a a motivational speaker, community organizer and activist with the Economic Opportunity Commission of Nassau County and its satellite community organization, Operation Outreach. He received an American Economic Association (AEA) Fellowship to study in their Summer Training and Minority Scholarship Program at Stanford University. Jomo graduated with honors in Economics from Brandeis University (1996) in Waltham, Massachusetts. He received his law degree from the George Washington University Law School (2000) in Washington, D.C. Jomo was the former editor of the The George Washington University Law School Corporate & Business Law Journal.

Jomo later founded Niche Lab Capital Group, a private venture capital group which financed the publication of "Latino Money Magazine" and "Black Wealth and Fortune Magazine". The personal finance magazines are noted for annually publishing the richest Latinos and African Americans in the United States. Jomo was featured on Tavis Smiley Show on NPR (National Public Radio) discussing "Black Wealth and Fortunes Magazine" special report, "The Black Millionaire Next Door: Black Wealth 2003." Thomas is managing director of Niche Lab Capital Group, and Monifa Thomas is editor of Black Wealth and Fortunes.

In New York City, Jomo is featured on "Legal Power Talk", a call in radio show about legal issues with Jomo Thomas on the "Trevor Forde Morning Show". Jomo is also a regular guest of the "Trevor Forde Morning Show" on 93.5FM (WVIP), which is heard throughout the Tri-State (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) area five days a week at 5AM. He also a public speaker who has lectured at high schools, colleges, conferences, community centers and religious institutions.
