Sega Mega Drive / Genesis game which features Alisia Dragoon, a young lady who can fire lightning from her hands and can summon her four faithful beasts. It was co-developed byGame Arts andGainax , and released by Game Arts in Japan, and by Sega in the US and Europe.Gameplay
The player, as Alisia, moves through the levels, defeating enemies and bosses in her path. Her primary attack is
lightning , which automatically targets enemies within range. However, as Alisia attacks, her lightning gradually gets weaker and weaker, until her power is depleted and must wait for her power to charge. When fully charged, her lightning attack sweeps the entire screen, dealing heavy damage.Alisia also has her choice of
familiar s: a fire-breathingdragon , a living ball of fire, a thunderbird, and a boomerang-throwing lizard. Although they cannot be controlled directly, they generally follow directly behind Alisia and attack as necessary. The player can change monsters at any time, even after one is killed.Over the course of the game, both Alisia and her monsters can gain increased attack and life, by locating items found in each level. Monsters' levels are separate from each other, and reset to 1 after being killed. Healing items may also be found for both Alisia and her monster, and at various points fairies will help.
tory
13 years ago a monster called Baldour wreaked havoc upon the land, Alisia's father was killed and the beast was sealed away and sent to the deepest reaches of space. However, the 'Silver Star' has landed on Earth and Baldour is close to being regenerated. Ornah, Baldour's second hand man and mage, has set about trying to resurrect his old master.
Alisia is sent to defeat Ornah and Baldour, while Ornah sends hordes of undead warriors to stop Alisia.
