The School was founded in the 1960s

Motto

The motto is "I have come so that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10)

Houses

The four houses are named after famous Abbey's in Yorkshire, these are namely Fountains, Kirkstall, Riveaulx and Roche.

chool Colours

School colours are Black, Red and Blue, the Blazer and Tie clearly reflect this. School dress is a fundamental part of being a Bernian and worn by all.
