Information
Collins Elementary School, also known as a primary school, is a public school based in Richmond county, Augusta Georgia. Although some elementary schools range from grades pre-k through 4th or 8th this school has, like almost any other elementary school, grades pre-k through 5th. In 2008 there are approximitaly 427 students going to this school. With about 31 fulltime teachers, there is a ratio of about 1 teacher to every 14 students. A fairly good ratio that would allow almost every child to learn the information taught. About 99.1% of the children who attend this school are african american. Primary education is the most important education of your life because if you don't have a good foundation to build on you won't be able to understand the new things you learn. Most of the children who attend this school graduate with only about 2.7 percent that are held back. Also, lunches at this school are free for most students. About 99.8% of the children who attend this school qualify for the free or reduced lunches that are offered. It is thought that private schools are better than public schools but this seems like it is a good school to begin your education in.
