rugby league team that competed in the Queensland Cup competition from1996 -2000 . After their great first year in 1996 when they made the Preliminary Finals, they dropped back as far as 12th. Due to a lack of local support from both people and otherrugby league clubs in Cairns and increasing financial trouble, they withdrew from the Competition.In 2008, a new Cairns-based side will take part in the
Queensland Cup competition. They will be know as theNorthern Pride .Colours
