Polina Leschenko

Polina Leschenko (Leningrad, 1981) is a naturalised Israeli pianist, having left Russia in 1991.

She debuted at the age of 12 at the Barbican Hall. After graduating at Brussels' Royal Conservatory and reaching the XIII Paloma O'Shea Competition (where she was awarded a grant-prize)'s finals, she started her concert career. She's active too as a chamber musician, and has took part in recordings of Robert Schumann's violin sonatas and Sergey Prokofiev's chamber music.

She was one of the promising pianists featured in the EMI series "Martha Argerich presents..."
