Saul Green

Saul Green is the current Deputy Mayor of Detroit, Michigan. He was appointed the position by current Mayor, Ken Cockrel, Jr.. Green is a well-known retired attorney who now overlooks both the Detroit Police and Law Department. A Detroit native and 1965 graduate of Mackenzie High School, Green served as US Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan (1994-2001).

Many observers praised the move, calling Green, 60, not only a well-respected legal mind with knowledge of federal oversight of the Police Department, but also a good right-hand man to have if the FBI investigation of City Hall corruption produces indictments as expected.
