Overclockers Australia, or OCAU, was founded in July 1999 by James "Agg" Rolfe. Since then it has grown into one of the busiest PC enthusiast forums on the net. It has expanded to cover other areas of interest, with discussion forums covering topics from photography to fitness.

Overclockers Australia Forums

The forums on Overclockers Australia are one the busiest online enthusiast communties in Australia, with almost 100,000 members. The forums cover a broad range of topics, from PC hardware to Photography to Pets. The forums also have a marketplace, which require members to be signed up for 90 days before they are granted access.

Overclockers Australia IRC

OCAU has a channel - #overclockers - on the Oz.Org network, frequented by roughly 100-140 OCAU'ers at any given time. Several of OCAU's admins can be found on IRC at most hours of the day, including Sciby, Bern, Voodoo, TheWedgie, Andypoo, Manaz, Sabretooth, Wolfy, and others, including Agg. Feel free to say hi to them or anyone in the channel. :)

OCAU has a podcast which is released at inconsistent intervals. There have currently been 27 episodes been released since 2006

OCAU members actively participate in distributed computing projects. Folding@home is the current favourite, with OCAU coming second only to [H] ardOCP. OCAU were previously at number 1.
