For the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest, the song "Ze Rak Sport," composed by Kobi Oshrat, written by Ehud Manor, and performed by Dafna, was chosen to represent Israel after it won the national final selection. Held on 28 March at the IBA studios in Jerusalem, the event was hosted by Roni Yoval and Noam Aviram. Twelve songs competed, and the winner was selected by seven regional juries. Dafna's appearance in the 1992 national final was her first. She would return as co-host of the Eurovision Song Contest 1999.
