Peter Niculescu

Peter Niculescu is Fannie Mae's Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer. He was appointed by the Board Of Directors on August 27th, 2008. Prior to that he served as Fannie Mae's Executive Vice President of Capital Markets since 2002. Before then he was Senior Vice President-Portfolio Strategy also for Fannie Mae. Before joining Fannie Mae in March 1999, Niculescu was managing director and co-head of Fixed-Income Research and Strategy for Goldman Sachs. Niculescu joined Goldman Sachs in 1990. Prior to that, he held positions in Fixed-Income Research and Portfolio Management at Salomon Brothers and Sanford C. Bernstein and Company.

Niculescu has a doctorate of philosophy in economics from Yale University and an undergraduate degree in economics from the Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand.
