Eugene R. McGrath was the former Chairman of the Board of
Consolidated Edison , Inc., an energy company. Mr. McGrath joined Con Edison after graduating fromManhattan College with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1963. In addition, Mr. McGrath received his master's in business administration from Iona College in 1980 and completed the Advanced Management Program atHarvard University in 1989. He was elected vice president in 1978, executive vice president in 1982, and president and chief operating officer in 1989. He became chairman in 1990 and served aschief executive officer from September 1990 through August 2005. In August 2005 Kevin Burke assumed the roles of President and Chief Executive Officer.He is chairman of the Union Square Partnership and a director of AEGIS Insurance Services, Atlantic Mutual Insurance Company,
Barnard College , theFresh Air Fund , the Hudson River Foundation for Science and Environmental Research, Inc.,Manhattan College ,Schering-Plough Corporation, and theWildlife Conservation Society . He is a member of the Economic Club of New York, the Development Advisory Council for theLower Manhattan Development Corporation , theNational Academy of Engineering , and the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City. Within the energy industry, Mr. McGrath is a director of the Edison Electric Institute.Eugene R McGrath has been listed in
