The 2000 UAB Blazers football team represented the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the college football season of 2000, and was the tenth team fielded by the school. The team's head coach was Watson Brown, who was entering his sixth season as the program's head coach. They played their home games at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama, and competed as a member of Conference USA. The Blazers would finish their fifth season at the I-A level, and their second affiliated with a conference with a record of 7-4 (3-4 C-USA).cite web
