Eric Freeman (born July 13 1965) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Ricky Caldwell in the 1987 film Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2.

Internet fame.

In the film Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 there is a scene where Ricky, Eric Freeman, shouts "Garbage Day!" before shooting a man taking his garbage out. The quote "Garbage Day." has become a popular Internet meme. Video parodies include replacing 'garbage day' with other important 'days' such as St. Patricks Day, Talk Like a Pirate Day, Judgment Day or Opposite Day. One such film includes many different ideas suggested by the killer, only to have them rebuked by the victim, telling him how his methods aren't original enough.

Other works

He has an uncredited appearance in the 1984 film Children of the Corn as "Israel". After working in Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 he made appearances in various television shows, his last being in the 1992 television series Dangerous Curves as "Johnny Strong" in the episode titled "Muscle Boys".
