Meredith Godreau is an American singer-songwriter performing under the pseudonym "Gregory and the Hawk". Active since 2003, Godreau has released two EPs and a full length album and is due to release her second full length album, "Moenie and Kitchi", later in the year.

Biography

Meredith Godreau, under the "Gregory and the Hawk" moniker, has achieved in five years without a manager or label's backing what most artists can only dream of doing. Her mostly-acoustic songs have made her a true internet phenomenon with countless pages of YouTube covers, thousands upon thousands of MySpace fans as well as selling 15,000 copies of her records. The classic "Boats and Birds" has seen itself rested upon manier MySpace pages.

Godreau, now accompanied by Mike McGuire (Short Stories), Doro Tachler and Adam Christgau, has signed to UK-based FatCat Records and is preparing to release "Moenie and Kitchi" - the follow up to 2007's "In Your Dreams".
