The Asiavision Song Contest 2009 will be the first annual Asiavision Song Contest. 15 countries are expected to take part, the host are been rumored to be Singapore as this is where the AsiaVision headquarters are based. Which was a similar situation as the Eurovision Song Contest, when the first hosts Switzerland were also the location for the EBU headquarters.

The following 15 countries were confirmed as the first participants in the Asiavision Song Contest.
