Frank Pilkington Sargeant (born 12 September 1932) is a former Anglican Bishop. Educated at the University of Durham and Cranmer Hall, he was ordained in 1961 [ Debrett's People of Today: (1992, London,Debrett's) ISBN 1870520092] and began his ministry with a curacy at Gainsborough. Following this he was Priest in charge of St Martin’s Grimsby [Crockford's clerical directory1975-76 Lambeth, Church House ISBN 0108153674] , Vicar of North Hykeham, a Residentiary Canon at Bradford Cathedral, then Archdeacon of the area before elevation to the episcopate as Bishop of Stockport [Who's Who 1992 London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 0713635142] . His last post was as Bishop at Lambeth, a non-diocesan appointment to be head of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s staff. In retiement he continues to serve the Church of England as an Assistant Bishop within the Diocese of Manchester.

Frank sargeant has now retired and is living in the city of manchester with his wife sally sargeant. they have 5 children that have now grown up and have children of their own.HE IS A GREAT GRANDAD WHO LIKES TO TEACH HIS GRANDCHILDREN TO PAINT!!:)
