Kartika (sitcom)

Kartika is an Indian show that is currrently airing on Disney Channel India. The show's advertisements started on September 15, 2008, just one week before the date of its actual premiere on September 22, 2008 on Disney. Disney Channel has been airing the name as Kaarthika.

Production

The Production of series one took place in June 2007, and will air everyday. Series two production took place in March 2008, will air immediately after season one finishes airing. Depending on the perception of the show, there could be a third season and production will start on October 2nd 2008, if at all.

Premiere

Kartika premiered on a "Disney Channel Day Of Premiere" along with another show Monster Buster Club. It is the only show, however, that premoiered at 5pm and not at the regular 7.30pm, as Disney Channel India had been launching since 2007. The show was taken very positively and its first day viewers was around 1.79 million. It is mistaken, however, as a sequel to Dhoom Machaao Dhoom.

When To Watch

Kartika airs its epidoes Monday-Friday at 5pm IST, the same episode repeats at 8.30pm. There is a marathon called "Kartika: The Week That Was" every Saturday or Sunday at 12.30pm after the Disney Channel Movie.
