History

iROCK109 was founded on August 5, 2006. The station plays classic rock from the 1950’s, 1960’s, 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990’s. The name was selected as a combination of what the station stood for, “i" for the station’s internet broadcasting, “ROCK” for the genre of music that is played, and “109” because FM frequencies stop at 108. The Countess is by far the most energetic, fun loving personality on iROCK109. In 2004 while listening to the radio, she was introduced to her future husband, The Count. They were married on-air shortly thereafter.

The Countess currently hosts "Southern Nights" every Monday at 8pm EST, as well as "Jukebox Friday Night" Fridays at 8pm EST with The Count.

DC Live is the newest addition to the iROCK109 family. His experience includes on-air work at his college radio station, and voice over work for companies like Clear Channel and Cox Communications.

Show features include "Wacky News" and "Instant Classics", a grouping of rock and alternative hits from the 1990's. His show can be heard every Monday from 5-8pm EST.

Little Ninja flagicon|Ireland

Little Ninja started in 2006 as a listener to iROCK109. She resides in Dublin, Ireland. Since 2007 Little Ninja has been on-air with two shows, "The Rock Dojo" Fridays at 5pm EST, as well as "The Saturday Show" at 12pm EST.

Otto is iROCK109's automatic DJ. When other personalities are unable to be on-air, Otto takes over. While other stations rely on a basic playlist that repeats, Otto is intelligent, can play any song in the library and can even take requests!

The Walrus comes from a television production background, mainly working behind the scenes. His friendship with the station owners and great personality earned him a spot on-air with iROCK109, and he has been a fixture of the station ever since.

The Walrus hosts "The Early Rock Show" Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8am EST, and "The Walrus & Philper Show" with Philper Sundays at 1pm EST.
