Notable_instruments = Guitarist Eddie "Devil Boy" Turner was born inCuba , and raised inChicago . A former member of the Otis Taylor band, he is currently signed to Toronto'sNorthernBlues Music .Eddie first began to play the guitar when he was twelve.
He also attended the dn|University of Colorado in the early 70's. Here he divulged in the music scene, playing with the regions first punk/R&B band The Immortal Nightflames (with
Grammy Award nominee Tracy Nelson, (Mother Earth). Eventually, Turner joined the group Zephyr as a guitarist, but the sudden death of Candy Givens shocked Eddie, ultimately leading to his decision to take a break from music. He took up real-estate in Denver.10 years later, Turner was asked to join the Ron Miles electric band. He agreed. In 1995, he joined up with Otis Taylor, and recorded 5 albums with the group.
Eddie now performs solo, as a singer/songwriter.
