He played the majority of his career with the Illawarra Steelers before retiring with the Parramatta Eels in 1997.
At the end of the 1999 season Riolo represented Italy in the first Mediterranean Cup.[1]
Riolo later worked as a player manager, representing such high profile players as Todd Carney[2] and Jason Cayless.[3]
