Telok Blangah Hill Park

Telok Blangah Hill Park

=History=

[National Parks Board, Singapore] Since the early nineteenth century, the park has long been a place of gathering for trading communities which flourished. The prosperity of the traders is represented by the Alkaff Mansion, an elegant colonial bungalow built by an Arab trader and is previously a place for grand parties of the social elite.

Activities

[National Parks Board, Singapore] The 34-hectare park is a popular place for wedding couples. A series of semi-circular terraces located at the top of the park is the Terrace Garden - the main feature of this park. Get a astonishing 360-degree view of Singapore from here! Its charm and beauty is magnified by the growing Bougainvilleas on each terrace.

Healthy exercises including taiqi and jogging, either in the morning or night, are popular in the park. Being furnished with picnic tables, the park is an ideal place for picnics. Splendid tall trees such as Eugenia, Alstonia and Rain trees in the surroundings make picnics and other activities more enjoyable. Sit back and indulge in the tranquility of the environment and watch the birds, squirrels and butterflies in the surroundings.
