LTC (Lawn Tennis Club) Prague was founded in 1903. The main sport in this club was tennis. This changed in 1927, when there was a quarrel in ice-hockey team Sparta Prague and many elite players moved to this club. The club then became very famous. Many players of LTC Prague were in czechoslovak national hockey team. The team has won 7 times Spengler cup and 2 times they ended on second place. After communist coup d'état in 1948, the club was forbidden as a symbol of western professional sport club. In 1950, the communist government (led by soviet government) forbade the czechoslovak national hockey team to go the Ice Hockey World Championships in London. The players of national team were tried in secret political trial and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for untrue and nonsense things.
