John Fields is a Grammy award-winning music producer and songwriter who has produced albums for Switchfoot, The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Jimmy Eat World, Delta Goodrem, and the Backstreet Boys.

Biography

""Boston native John Fields fell in love with pop music at an early age and taught himself to play guitar, bass, piano and drums. While playing in several local bands, he became fascinated with the art of recording and set his sights on becoming a record producer.

"John moved to Minneapolis in his early 20's and established October Records and Funkytown Studios with his uncle, Steven Greenberg (who wrote the disco smash, "Funkytown"). John discovered, signed and produced numerous artists for October Records, including The Honeydogs, who later released albums on Mercury and Palm."

"During this time, John continued working as a musician, co-founding Greazy Meal, a rock/funk band that became very popular in the region. This experience helped to further strengthen John's skills as a producer, and his reputation spread among artists in the Midwest.
