Vosizneias

Vosizneias is an online news site that caters to the Orthodox Jewish and Hasidic world in the United States [Five Towns Jewish Times, August 21, 2008, article by Ben Nathan] . The literal meaning of the Yiddish words are "What is news." It is an extremely popular website that has breaking and up to the minute news on all areas that may affect Orthodox Jews, although the news is primarily concerned with the New York Metropolitan Area and Israel.

The website is run by four anonymous Orthodox Jews, two of which are Hasidic. The news site has become a source for the mainstream media as well, and has been quoted in the New York Times, Daily News and the New York Post.

There are advertisers and writers, but since all business is conducted through the internet and through Paypal, the anonymity of the editors is kept intact. Their main competitors are TheYeshivaWorld.com which is another website that caters to a similar audience. Many of the stories run on Vosizneias reflect the beauty of the Orthodox Jewish and Hasidic worlds.
