The Polar Bear Trophy was a piece of silverware presented to Celtic FC by Knattspyrnufélagið Valur(Iceland) in 1975-76 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup first round.This was to mark their special meeting in the european competition. Celtic FC won 2-0 at Reykjavík and then won 7-0 at Celtic Park. Afterwards Celtic FC continued their run in the competition only to be knocked out by FSV Zwickau 2-1 on aggregate in the quarter finals.
