The
SNCF Class BB 60031diesel locomotive s were built byHomecourt /Jeumont for the Chemin de Fer Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée in1938 . They were powered bySulzer -engines, producing 550 hp, and weighed 66.7 tons.Three locomotives were built. They were initially numbered DMD 1-3, but were soon renumbered into the
SNCF numbering system as 040 DD 1-3. In1962 , they were renumbered again as BB 60031-60033.Details of each locomotive are shown below:
One locomotive, no. BB 60032, survives in preservation at the French National Railway Museum in
