The term spank guarantee was started in Northeastern Pennsylvania by a group of rednecks. One of the rednecks, nicknamed "Spanky," issued a guarantee on many events, from how many deer he could bag on opening weekend of hunting season to how many beers he could drink on a given occasion.

The spank guarantee became a level of confidence, a term much above a simple guarantee. To spank guarantee something, the event has to have your utmost level of confidence. In the event the spank guarantee does not come true, the person issuing the spank guarantee loses all privileges of using the term in the future. Therefore, when something is spank guaranteed, it is held in high esteem.

The spank guarantee is still common in Northeastern PA, and has since been heard in neighboring states and used frequently on the Internet.
