Banat University of Agronomical Sciences and Veterinary Medicine ( _ro. Universitatea de Ştiinţe Agricole şi Medicină Veterinară a Banatului Timişoara) is a university in Timişoara, Romania which specializes in life sciences. The former Agricultural Institute Timişoara was established at the Polytechnic University of Timişoara by Royal Decree in 1945. After it split off and 6 new faculties were established, it became an independent university with Paun Otiman as first rector in 1991.
