"Why Wait" is an album by American country music artist Kristy Lee Cook. It was released on September 16, 2008 by Arista Nashville. The album's first single, "15 Minutes of Shame" has charted on the Hot Country Songs charts. The album debuted at #8 on the US Top Country albums chart, and at #49 on the Billboard 200.

Two of the album tracks are cover versions. "God Bless the USA", was originally recorded by Lee Greenwood and "Cowgirls", a bonus track only available on iTunes, was originally recorded by Kerry Harvick for an unreleased album.
