Tham's law

Tham's law

Tham's law is the concept that a technical solution will always work better for the software developer or constructing engineer than the customer who ordered the solution.

Background

This is often caused by the inability for the software developer or engineer to predict how the software will be used and weak specifications.

Orgin of the expression can be traced back to Sweden and the original expression "stört att det alltid ser bättre ut hos en själv" that roughly means "disturbed that it always looks better for one-self".
