Jens Gram Dunker

Jens Gram Dunker

Jens Gram Dunker (1892 - 1981) is a Norwegian architect.

Born in Christiania, he took architectural education in Dresden. He first worked under Harald Hals and Arnstein Arneberg, but started on his own in 1919. Together with Gudolf Blakstad he drew the theatre building for Det Nye Teater, a building which is important in the transition between neo-classicism and functionalism in Norwegian architecture. In 1938 Dunker was hired as a manager at the Royal Palace, retiring in 1962 after a lenghty building restoration which commenced in 1950.
