St. John's Church, Colston Bassett is a parish church in the Church of England in Colston Bassett, Nottinghamshire.
The church is Grade II listed by the Department for Culture, Media & Sport as it is a building of special architectural or historic interest.
History
St. John's Church, Colston Bassett was erected in 1892 by the architect A. W. Brewill. [Pevsner, Nikolaus. 1979. "The Buildings of England:Nottinghamshire". page 106. Harmondsworth, Middx. Penguin.] .
However, the construction was of poor quality and the church needed substantial restoration. This was undertaken in 1934 by C. M. Oldridd Scott. The Bishop of Southwell re-opened the repaired building on 12 August, 1936, at the same time as he instituted the new vicar, the Rev. John Booth
